This monograph presents a systematic overview of the theoretical fundamentals of the physics of porous structures, aimed at familiarizing readers with the subject. To minimize excessive mathematics, it emphasizes visual representations of various phenomena. While accurate mathematical theories are discussed, rigorous proofs are avoided, assuming readers have a background in quantum mechanics and statistical physics to reproduce relevant calculations. For in-depth study, original papers and monographs are referenced at the end. The work comprises five chapters. The first chapter introduces a model of porous media based on the fibril structure of substances, enabling theoretical analysis of complex problems and incorporating aspects of thermodynamics in equilibrium systems. The second chapter addresses equilibrium characteristics of these structures, such as heat capacity and mechanical strength. The fourth chapter explores the physical bases of rapid processes in porous media. Finally, chapter five develops a coherent theory of heat conduction in porous substances, providing a comprehensive understanding of these phenomena.
