The Pictish Colouring Book

Scattered around Scotland are massive stones with intricate carvings upon them, relics of the Picts. These early Scots were a wild, barbaric nation who caused the building of both Hadrian's and the Antonine Walls, but between the 2nd and 10th centuries A.D. they also displayed a fascination for carving stones, with a skill that leaves modern generations standing in awe over 1,000 years later. In this colouring book, Joy-Elizabeth Mitchell, an accomplished graphic artist, has given us a selection of Pictish art which represents a wide range of the skills of this race through its known history.
