The maritime distress of migrants and anthropogenic climate change are among the most pressing humanitarian and political challenges today. This paper explores whether the failure of states and supranational entities to address these issues constitutes extreme injustice from a legal ethical standpoint, referencing the Radbruch formula. It examines the minimum ethical obligations this situation imposes on states and communities of states.
