Catalogue of a travelling exhibition that finds one of its stages at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo who has participated in this co-production. The first large-scale solo exhibition of Messagers work in Japan serves as a retrospective that covers the entire scope of her work from her pieces from the 1970s that examine self-identity to her installations composed of plush toys and stuffed animals. Here, the different periods of the artists output are examined through numerous colour and black & white photographs of installations and other pieces.
