Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) was the first female representative of Impressionism. At first she still worked strongly influenced by Manet's style. But quickly she developed her own unique handwriting. The artist increasingly became a role model for her male colleagues. Morisot's works show the bourgeois life of their time with bright colours.
