Sklo je predovšetkým sochársky materiál, aj keď zatiaľ takto nie je primárne chápané. Umožňuje vyjadriť sa v priestore a navyše tento priestor uzamknúť alebo dokonca rozšíriť v samotnej sklenenej hmote. Jednotliví autori ukazujú rôzne spôsoby, ako tento potenciál skla využiť. Sklo je zároveň aj novou možnosťou pre maliarsky prejav, prípadne pre iné výtvarné techniky ako je kresba a fotografia. Vo všetkých prípadoch otvára nové možnosti.
