The textbook contains language material within the framework of state educational standards for certification levels II and partially III of general proficiency in the Russian language and prepares foreign students for the corresponding test examinations. It has a practical focus but also includes necessary theoretical information about grammatical and lexical phenomena of the Russian language. The textbook is intended for use in the classroom under the guidance of an instructor but can also be used by students independently, for which keys and matrices are provided in the appendix. The book is aimed at bachelor's and master's students studying at universities in Russia but will be useful for foreigners who have reached the required level of language proficiency, regardless of the forms and conditions of study.
