For the first time, the group of so-called Concrete Women Artists is the subject of a publication in Germany. The time span ranges from the 1920s to the 1970s, covering the concrete-constructivist art between the wars and the concrete art after 1945. The focus of the catalog is on central bodies of work by twelve artists, illuminated by contributions from prominent art experts and artists. It also addresses the educational and presentation conditions for women at that time, as well as the networks within which the artists could operate. Featuring works by Marcelle Cahn, Geneviève Claisse, Sonia Delaunay, Clara Friedrich-Jezler, Lily Greenham, Katarzyna Kobro, Verena Loewensberg, Vera Molnar, Aurelie Nemours, Charlotte Posenenske, Sophie Taeuber-Arp, and Mary Vieira.
