The Year 2001 edition of this Encyclopedia is updated so that it looks forward to the new century and back to the previous one. It includes a set of eight spreads assessing the key developments of the last century. This encyclopedia includes references from popular culture and sport, to developments in science and technology and topical issues such as genetically modified foods and devolution in Northern Ireland. It is intended as a reference guide for everyone.
