In November 2001, the Church Representatives Meeting of CTBI commissioned a working group to undertake a study of prosperity. The group was asked to take seriously the context of globalization, the persistence of terrible worldwide poverty, and the impact that riches have on the environment, and to report back in good time to contribute to the debate leading up to the UK General Election.
