They have together conducted in-depth research whose fruit is this book that summarizes their research results, and includes the history of environmental protection, protection of ancient heritage, policies on environmental protection, the Three Gorges project, and the project to divert water from south to north. It tells of the great efforts China has made towards environmental protection and its achievements in this field, and the challenges it still faces.
