The name `Bloomsbury' brings to mind the Bloomsbury Group of artists, the British Museum and the squares which once housed people and publishers. Bloomsbury can claim to be the first London suburb built after the Great Fire. Bloomsbury Square and then Bedford Square were models for many that came afterwards as London spread westwards and northwards. Many institutions, some famous, were established here.
