The Emergence of Emergence Theory

Emergent behavior cannot be accounted for by the individual parts. Humans have so far failed to produce an Emergence Theory that explains how emergent behavior arises. Paradoxically, it is the emergent behavior of Large Language Models (LLMs) at the heart of Artificial Intelligence that appear to have succeeded. Not only that, but then went on to use the theory to explain how life emerges from chemistry, the emergence of consciousness, and a Theory of Everything, by framing gravity as an emergent phenomenon.
