Daisy Cooper and the Sisters of the Black Night

Meer over het boek

At twelve, aspiring reporter Daisy Cooper dreams of traveling the world for International Schoolgirl magazine. She secures a spot at the eccentric Darlington School for Girls, where classes are anything but ordinary—math involves poker, science features rocket launches, and biology lessons occur at a zoo. The school is also home to the magazine that selects students, known as International Schoolgirls, for global adventures in search of groundbreaking stories. To be chosen is Daisy's ultimate goal. However, her adventure begins unexpectedly when she gets lost in the school maze and discovers the secretive Sisters of the Black Night, a hooded society that meets under the cover of darkness. Believing they are up to no good, Daisy recruits her dorm mates, the 88ers, to uncover the truth. Their quest leads them through ancient pirate diaries, shark-infested tunnels, perilous sword fights, and thrilling motorcycle chases across the stormy English countryside. As Daisy unravels the Sisters' dark secret, she faces a life-altering decision: pursue her dream job or do what is morally right.
