Ernesto Che Guevara was executed one day after he had been captured while leading a guerrilla movement in Bolivia - killed on the instructions of Washington and the government of Bolivia at the time. This small book contains three key contributions by Fidel Castro on the death of Che. The first, is the Cuban leader's television appearance on October 15, 1967, to confirm for the Cuban people that Che had been killed. The second, is the memorial speech he gave to more than one million people in Havana's Revolution Plaza on October 18, 1967. The third, is Fidel's introduction to Che Guevara's Bolivian Diary, published first in Cuba in July 1968 in an edition of more than one million copies. The words of Fidel Castro on the death of Che Guevara are presented here to coincide with the 50th anniversary of his execution in Bolivia.
