When the Moomin family members need a change of scenery, they decide to take up residence in a lighthouse. As they discover their new home, the family also discover surprising, and wonderfully funny, new things about themselves.

A great flood wave threatens Moomin Valley! When the Moomin family is flooded out of its home, the Moomins set about finding themselves a new one. And being resourceful little creatures, they soon find a very original one: a floating theatre.

When Moomintroll learns that a comet will be passing by, he and his friend Sniff travel to the Observatory on the Lonely Mountains to consult the Professors. Along the way, they have many adventures, but the greatest adventure of all awaits them when they learn that the comet is headed straight for their beloved Moominvalley.

Moominmamma and young Moomintroll search for the long lost Moominpappa through forest and flood, meeting a little creature (an early Sniff) and the elegantly strange Tulippa along the way.

Het komt niet zo vaak voor dat er kleine dikke mannetjes met propellers op hun rug en een startknop op hun buik boven op het dak wonen. Zo'n mannetje is Karlsson. En Erik kent niemand die zo goed poetsen kan bakken als Karlsson van het dak. Dat loopt natuurlijk niet altijd goed af. Maar wie gelooft hem nou als Erik zegt dat Karlsson van het dak het heeft gedaan? Eén ding is zeker: als Karlsson in de buurt is, hoef je je nooit te vervelen!
