Ústředním motivem dobrodružně historického románu známého autora knihy Čachtická paní je mnohotvárný protiklad boje a lásky. Autor ve svém milostném románu využil možnosti, které mu poskytoval manželský čtyřúhelník postav dvou nerovných světů. V románu najdeme všechny znaky autorova prozaického umění – talent, fabulací, lehkost stylu a hlavně schopnost vnést do příběhu napětí.

Slovenský autor Jožo Nižnánský napsal mnoho historických románů. Všechny jsou velmi čtivé, a proto je o ně stále mimořádný zájem. Mezi nejznámější rozhodně patří Čachtická paní, která od roku 1990 vyšla již čtyřikrát a vždy byla po krátké době vyprodána.
