Baśnie o Śmierci to zbiór 44 historii zaczerpniętych z rozmaitych kultur (m.in. hiszpańskiej, greckiej, irlandzkiej, chińskiej, tybetańskiej, arabskiej, indyjskiej, azteckiej, aborygeńskiej, buszmeńskiej czy kultury Inuitów), których wspólną bohaterką jest Śmierć.
