Nadia leek altijd voorbestemd voor een carrière in illustratie. Van kinderlijke krabbels in haar oefenboeken tot het schetsen van aantekeningen tijdens haar rechtenstudie, haar passie voor tekenen bleef bestaan. Zelfs als journalist voor het muziektijdschrift Smash Hits kon ze niet stoppen met het schetsen van dieren op alles wat voorhanden was.
