Set in the mountains of Mexico, Father Hector, an agronomist, is thrilled to be assigned to San Miguel, only to find himself at odds with the bishop's directive to downplay local miracles. As he encounters a Protestant evangelical promoting modern agricultural methods, Hector must navigate the challenges of sustainable farming versus charismatic persuasion. His dedication and empathy help him succeed in agricultural endeavors, but the struggle to diminish the villagers' belief in miracles proves to be a more complex battle.
