Dualism, a separation between Creator and creature prevails in Christianity. Man is made to believe in his basic sinfulness and imperfection. If we recognize that this loss of human wholeness, this falling away from the balance necessary between masculine and feminine, outer and inner, intellect and soul, is teh cause of those painful tensions and conflicts which occur betwen the two aspects of a single being, we must once again discover the way of shared unity so that, living out of this oneness, we can perpetuate a healed humanity. There are increasing signs that we are close to exhaustion of all the means previously available to our wilful intellect, but new discoveries promise a breakthrough to energies and insights that up to now have only been proclaimed by mystics and the enlightened and misunderstood by the rest of us.
