A collection of photographs of Indonesia by Hein Buitenweg, with an introduction by the authors. Text is in Dutch. The photographs appear to be from the 1940's on, and are excellent black and white portraits of people and places in Indonesia.

The author evaluates masks and idols and explains the cultural traditions of African tribes.
