Cathy Porter is de auteur van verschillende boeken die thema's verkennen als vrouwelijke terroristen in het tsaristische Rusland, politieke kunst tijdens de revolutie van 1905 en Moskou tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Ze schreef ook een biografie van de revolutionair Larissa Reisner en stelt momenteel een nieuwe anthologie van Kollontai's geschriften samen.
