O tych minimalistycznych kompozycjach piszą Małgorzata Baranowska, Maria Anna Potocka, Michał Rusinek. Katalog zawiera także wywiad z Ryszardem Krynickim. W publikacji zamieszczono blisko 150 reprodukcji prac Wisławy Szymborskiej. Pierwsze [kolaże] zaczynają powstawać na przełomie lat 60. i 70. Szymborska twierdziła, że zajęła się tą techniką, bo nie mogła wówczas kupić ładnych pocztówek, postanowiła więc produkować je sama. „Proszę do mnie nie przychodzić przez kilka dni, bo będę artystką” – mawiała raz do roku, zwykle z początkiem listopada. Nie był to wyraz nagłego braku gościnności ani przypływu weny, która wymagała izolacji od świata. Powody były praktyczne: podłoga w całym mieszkaniu usłana była wycinkami z gazet i magazynów, z których powstawały kolaże zwane wyklejankami. Powstawały co roku, przez mniej więcej 40 lat.
