On May 15, 2012, people worldwide will document their lives through photography, resulting in a comprehensive visual record of daily life. This beautiful edition features both professional and amateur photographers, capturing everything from tribal areas to urban settings, intimate moments to vibrant events. The project, initiated by Aday.org, celebrates photography's power to foster cultural understanding, emphasizing that every life matters. Contributors include a diverse array of individuals—farmers, fishermen, office workers, and award-winning photojournalists—reflecting the planet's rich tapestry. An interactive website served as the project's hub, where an international jury selected the best 1,000 images. This collection offers an armchair travel experience while serving as a vital record of humanity, destined to inspire reflections on our shared existence for generations. The initiative is supported by the foundation Expressions of Humankind, which includes notable figures like Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Sir Richard Branson, and singer/songwriter Robyn among its council members.
