Der Autor Paul Graebner (1871-1933 ) war Botaniker und Professor am Botanischen Garten und Botanischen Museum Berlin-Dahlem. Er befasste sich in seinen Forschungen insbesondere mit der Pflanzengeografie Deutschlands. Im vorliegenden Band von 1909 "Die Pflanzenwelt Deutschlands - Lehrbuch der Formationsbiologie" stellt er die Lebensgeschichte der wildwachsenden Pflanzenvereine und der Kulturflächen Deutschlands vor.
