Ante la bandera es una novela donde se narran las peripecias de un cientifico que crea una poderosisima arma: el fulgurador Roch, en una clara alusion a la bomba atomica. Esta novela es un claro exponente de la mentalidad de Verne con respecto a las armas, el creciente poderio y militarismo de Alemania y el papel que la ciencia puede representar como creadora de monstruos en la figura de un cientifico loco que posee un invento capaz de los mayores beneficios o de las mayores desgracias.

Pro své protiotrokářské smýšlení je Burbank trnem v oku svémuotrokářskému okolí. Jeho protivníkem je zejména padouch Texar, který bývá pravidelně podezřelý z účasti na různých zločinech, ale vždy prokáže neotřesitelné alibi.
Příběh románu začíná v Londýně, kde Francouz Robert Morgan, který je bez peněz a bez zaměstnání (právě byl propuštěn z místa učitele francouzštiny), uvidí plakát, který nabízí práci průvodce a tlumočníka na cestě po třech souostrovích (Azory, Madeira a Kanárské ostrovy). Protože Morgan mluví plynně anglicky, španělsky a portugalsky, snadno tuto práci získá. Jules Verne: Hvězda jihu - v zemi diamantů, rok 1924, III. vydání. Kniha vypráví příběh z jihoafrických diamantových polí. V centru děje je „Hvězda jihu", diamant dosud nevídané velikosti a krásy. Francouzský inženýr Cyprián Méré je přesvědčen, že se mu ho podařilo vyrobit umělýmzpůsobem, který vynalezl. Naplnil totiž kovové pouzdro chemickou směsí vlastní výroby, utěsnil je a dva týdny žhavil v peci. Pak pouzdro vybuchlo a Méré nalezl diamant v roztříštěném pouzdru pod vrstvou jílu. Při slavnostní hostině se ale diamant záhadně ztratí.
Román Malý Dobráček je pro tvorbu Julese Vernea naprosto netypický. Stojí za ním tklivý příběh sirotka tonoucího v bídě Irska poloviny 19. století, přičemž čtenář, který by nevěděl, že jde o Verneovo dílo, mohl by se domnívat, že čte jeden z románů anglického spisovatele Charlese Dickense. Nicméně Jules Verne grandiózné vykresluje osudy Malého Dobráčka, sirotka,jeho strastiplné dětství, a mnohdy šokující poměry panující na ostrově. Příběh patří k nejméně vydávaným románům Julese Vernea v našich zemích.
Dílo, které autor vytvořil téměž na sklonku svého života, vypráví dramatický příběh skupiny osmi chlapců z jedné londýnské školy, kteří byli za odměnu vybráni na prázdninový výlet lodí po ostrovech Velkých a Malých Antil. Výlet mohl proběhnout za příznivch podmínek, kdyby se ovšem lodi nezmocnil Harry Markel v inkognitu kapitána Paxtona… Kniha vychází za kompletního ilustračního doprovodu, původních černobílých a barevných rytin, v kartonovém pouzdru, s černobílým přebalem, raženou plátěnou šitou vazbou a se zlatou ořízkou knižního bloku.
