Der Zeichentrickfilm um den großsprecherischen Lippfisch Oscar und seine Erlebnisse mit der HaiMafia (der Plot erinnert entfernt an das "tapfere Schneiderlein") ist auch in Deutschland ein Riesenerfolg, es gibt ein großes multimediales Angebot, und nachempfinden kann man die Geschichte in einem Jugendroman (von L. Gikow) und einem Bilderbuch ("Große Haie kleine Fische" beide in dieser BANr.). Der vorliegende großformatige Band aufgemacht in DorlingKindersleyManier wie zuletzt "Shrek das Handbuch für Shreksperten" (BA 8/04) gibt Auskunft über alles, was es an Einzelheiten zu wissen gilt. Vorgestellt werden alle wichtigen Figuren, Schauplätze und Schlüsselszenen auf jeweils 2 Seiten in kurzen Texten und reichlich Bildern, dazu gibt es einige Sachinformationen zu den echten Meeresbewohnern. Allerdings werden hier nicht nur Einzelaspekte unterhaltsam erläutert, man bekommt, in kleinen Happen, auch die Handlung nähergebracht. Das Buch bietet einen etwas ungewöhnlichen, doch gut brauchbaren Zugang und kann überall bereitgestellt werden.. Vorgestellt werden alle wichtigen Figuren, Schauplätze und Schlüsselszenen des Kinohits samt Sachinformationen zu den echten Meeresbewohnern; reich illustriert.
