Publikace otevírá formou dílčích sond otázky klíčové pro téma literárního transferu. Reflektuje problematiku překladu a roli překladatele, věnuje se českým překladům anglické a americké literatury v posledních třech dekádách i recepci české literatury v Bulharsku a bulharské literatury u nás po roce 1989. Jednotlivé kapitoly monografie se zabývají rovněž projektem Tschechische Bibliothek ve vztahu k otázce kánonu, transferem orálnosti ve frankofonních literaturách, podílem literárních a kulturních periodik na recepci cizích literatur či rolí paratextu při čtení literárního díla. Tematizována jsou rovněž filmová zpracování povídky Milana Kundery „Falešný autostop“, neboť právě adaptace mohou podstatným způsobem ovlivňovat to, co je v centru zájmu autorů a autorek této monografie – život literárního díla v zahraničním kontextu.

Sborník obsahuje nejlepší studentské práce bakalářského nebo magisterského studia z oboru historie, které vznikly v roce 2015 na vysokých školách v ČR.
