    Květoslav Hísek was een Tsjechische schilder en grafisch kunstenaar, voornamelijk bekend als illustrator van wetenschappelijke boeken. Kort na zijn studie aan de Academie voor Kunst, Architectuur en Design in Praag wijdde hij zich aan zijn levenslange missie van wetenschappelijke illustratie. Zijn werk wordt gewaardeerd om zijn precisie en zijn vermogen om complexe wetenschappelijke concepten visueel toegankelijk te maken. Hísek droeg bij aan de popularisering van wetenschap door zijn gedetailleerde en boeiende illustraties.
