Marion St. John Adcock Webb was een Engelse schrijfster wiens poëtische en prozawerken voor kinderen de stijl van A. A. Milne vooruitliepen. Haar personage 'The Littlest One' genoot aanzienlijke waardering bij lezers. In samenwerking met illustrator Margaret Tarrant produceerde ze een reeks sprookjesboeken, die tegenwoordig als gesentimentaliseerd en kenmerkend voor hun tijd worden beschouwd.
