Gustavo Ariel Mazali is een Argentijnse illustrator en striptekenaar wiens vroege carrière gericht was op het stripmedium. Hij verfijnde zijn vakmanschap door studies bij gerenommeerde meesters en samenwerkingen aan populaire stripreeksen. Sinds 1998 wijdt Mazali zich aan de illustratie van kinderboeken, waarbij hij aanvankelijk bijdroeg aan educatieve teksten voordat hij zich toelegde op verhalende werken. Zijn werk heeft internationale erkenning gekregen, waaronder een prijs in Japan voor een kinderliteratuur titel.
