A variation of the story of the hare and the tortoise. Set in East Africa during a famine. A group of animals tries to find and call out the name of the Wishing Tree so that it will bear fruit. The fast, clever and powerful animals fail in their attempts, but the slow, reliable tortoise succeeds.
