Kniha je o reformaci současné evropské církve. Reformace totiž neskončila v 17. století. Reformace je o návratu církve k Ježíši Kristu – životem i učením. Poslední reformace je o závěrečné etapě této cesty. Autor v knize porovnává život současné (evropské) církve vůči životu a učení Ježíše Krista, apoštolů a prvotní církve. Rozebírá Biblické texty a ilustruje je svými zkušenostmi. Knize lze díky tomu dobře rozumět a je čtivá.

Bližšie sa pozreme na dnešnú cirkev a porovnáme ju s prvou cirkvou, o ktorej čítame v Biblii. Mnoho vecí, ktoré dnes vidíme v cirkvi, je založených na niečom inom ako len na Novom zákone. Často stoja na Starom zákone, tradícii, zvyklostiach v cirkvi a na pohanstve. Je preto veľmi dôležité, aby sme sa my ako Boží ľud pozastavili, bližšie sa pozreli na dnešnú cirkev a porovnali ju s prvou cirkvou, o ktorej môžeme čítať v Biblii. Ak máme uspieť v úlohe činiť učeníkov zo všetkých národov, potom sa potrebujeme navrátiť k „modelu“, ktorý nachádzame iba v Biblii. O autorovi: Torben Sondergaard pochádza z Dánska, je autorom siedmich kníh a tiež zakladateľom misijnej spoločnosti „Experience Jesus“ (Zaži Ježiša). Je známy tým, že sa necháva viesť priamo Bibliou a rovnako svojím osobným vzťahom s Bohom. Kniha na základě Bible zkoumá, co znamená následovat Ježíše Krista. Autor srovnává termín křesťan s pojmy učedník a otrok, které jsou v Bibli používány častěji. Nejde však jen o slova, ale o skutečný život, který tyto pojmy reprezentují. V Evropě se často mluví o křesťanských hodnotách, přičemž mnozí se považují za křesťany, aniž by skutečně rozuměli Ježíšovým učením nebo podle nich žili. Křesťanství se stalo nálepkou pro tradice a rituály, které Ježíš nezavedl, ale které vznikly z lidských zvyklostí. Autor také upozorňuje na chybné chápání víry, která není jen souhlasem s Boží existencí, ale výzvou k následování Ježíše: miluj Pána, svého Boha, celým svým srdcem, duší a myslí. Ježíš svým životem naplnil toto přikázání a žádá nás o totéž. Kniha nastavuje zrcadlo, abychom viděli, jak moc následujeme Ježíše. Doporučuje se číst ji s modlitbou a otevřenou Biblí, abychom hledali užitek pro svůj život. Cílem je ukázat, jak jsme se odchýlili od Ježíše, vydat Mu svůj život a stát se Jeho učedníky. Ježíš řekl: „Já jsem ta Cesta, Pravda i Život.“ Není to tedy naše vlastní cesta ani cesta náboženských tradic.
