Pinocchio, the hero of Carlo Collodi's famous fairy tale, speaks to young readers around the world. This time, the little wooden rascal comes to life in a circus tent, amidst acrobats and animals, where his curiosity and mischief earn him the ire of the circus ringmaster. However, he also finds good friends in Geppetto and Angelina, who help him navigate various troubles and introduce him to the lives of people he wishes to emulate. The little hero faces numerous dangers, including imprisonment, near-death experiences, balloon flights, and daring stunts, all while bravely confronting the ringmaster's traps and even falling in love. Despite being made of wood, he thinks and feels like a human, and we root for him to succeed due to his courage and kind heart. This musical adaptation is a loose variation on Collodi's story, created in collaboration with Josef Krofta (script), Jan Jirásek (music), Jiří Žáček (dialogues and lyrics), and directed by Josef and Jakub Krofta from the renowned Drak Theatre. The book is intended for children aged 8 and older.
