Yves Swolfs is een Belgische stripauteur en -tekenaar die zijn carrière begon met reclame-illustraties. Hij staat vooral bekend om zijn westernserie Durango, geïnspireerd op spaghettiwesterns en Jean-Louis Trintignant. Swolfs waagde zich ook aan historische strips met de serie Dampierre, die zich afspeelt tijdens de Franse Revolutie. Later creëerde hij de succesvolle vampierensaga Prins van de Nacht en andere western- en middeleeuwse verhalen, waarmee hij zijn veelzijdigheid in verschillende genres bewees.
