Monografie přináší pohled na sociální pedagogiku jako na historicky zformovaný a aktuálně rozvíjený systém vědy, praxe a profese. Seznamuje čtenáře s klíčovými teoreticko-praktickými koncepty sociální pedagogiky a objasňuje genezi jejího vědního i profesního profilu.
