Récit autobiographique. L'auteure évoque la maladie - l'épilepsie - qui l'a, pendant trois ans, privée de mémoire, ainsi que ses nombreux séjours dans les hôpitaux et sa convalescence. Un témoignage qui décrit cette pathologie de manière très didactique, non exempte d'humour. Des dessins, réalisés au cours de cette période, sont joints au récit. Le graphisme en noir et blanc est plus allusif ou onirique que réaliste.
