Jill Hadfield is al meer dan 20 jaar betrokken bij EFL, zowel als lerares als docententrainer. Ze is auteur van meer dan 20 boeken voor docenten, waarvan sommige samen met haar echtgenoot Charles zijn geschreven. Ze heeft docenten onderwezen en getraind in Groot-Brittannië, Frankrijk, China, Tibet en Madagaskar, en heeft wereldwijd workshops en cursussen gegeven. Momenteel is ze senior lecturer aan de School of English and Applied Linguistics van Unitec in Auckland, Nieuw-Zeeland.
