Put aside the city view, visit the natural scenery, taste the authentic food, experience the local culture and discover the real Taiwan.In my position as the Representative of The Netherlands I had the opportunity to travel all over Taiwan. My stay in Taiwan for more than 7 years allowed me to discover even rather remote areas. Wherever I went, I found beautiful nature, lovely people and incredibly diverse cultures.Taiwan is beautiful and interesting, but who knows that? Expatriates in general are hardly aware of it and it is amazing how many Taiwanese I have met in Taipei with limited knowledge about what a great nature and culture Taiwan has to offer and about indigenous and local Taiwan.
