    Peats interesses reiken verder dan theoretische fysica en omvatten psychologie, met name die van Carl Jung, kunst en algemene culturele aspecten, waaronder die van inheems Amerika. Hij werkte samen met David Bohm en schreef werken over kwantumtheorie, chaostheorie en een studie over synchroniciteit. Na zijn verhuizing naar het dorp Pari in Italië richtte Peat het Pari Center for New Learning op. Zijn werk verkent de onderlinge verbondenheid van wetenschap, psychologie en cultuur.
