Gaucher disease is the most common lipid storage disorder. It results from a lack of the enzyme glucocerebrosidase and exhibits very different clinical courses. As initial diagnosis may be difficult due to wide variability in symptomatology, the authors provide clinical experience and valuable information on managing Gaucher disease. The aim of this book is to contribute to the early diagnosis and adequate treatment of as many Gaucher disease patients as possible.
