Adrian Plass is in christelijke kring binnen en buiten Engeland een gewaardeerde spreker. De humor van dit evangelisch getinte boek zal niet aan iedereen besteed z3n. Niettemin zal het z3n weg wel weten te vinden. Echt professioneel moet het deze keer worden: de tournee van de begenadigde, internationale, christelijk spreker. Er is ook al een sponsor gevonden, zodat de tijd van overnachten bij iemand thuis met alle pijnlijke momenten vandien nu voorbij is. Ook een danseres gaat mee op deze tour, kortom: het gaat allemaal fantastisch worden. Toch? Aan het 'dreamteam' om Adrian (zijn vrouw Anne, zijn zoon Gerald, sponsor Barry Ingstone en de altijd chaotische Leonard Thynn en zijn vriendin Angels) zal het niet liggen. Hoewel - de praktijk ziet er soms effe iets anders uit, en zeker niet minder komisch!

The whole idea of the SERIOUSLY FUNNY tour was for Adrian Plass and Jeff Lucas to let people in on their conversations about God, life and the universe - and it went pretty well. After all, that's pretty much what they've been doing in their separate writing and speaking careers all these years. All told, people seemed to like the way their trademark styles came together and shed light on even the most difficult subjects, in a way that perhaps made those burdens a little easier to bear.
