Destroy, she said was the title of the first exhibition at the Düsseldorf-based Julia Stoschek Collection, which was widely acclaimed when it opened in 2007. Stoschek is a private collector, primarily of film and video, whose dramatic media-supportive gallery was designed by the Berlin architectural firm, Kühn Malvezzi. The collection includes classic works and newer pieces by sought-after and emerging artists. Among those represented in this volume are Doug Aitken, Paul Chan, Robert Smithson, Monica Bonvicini, Natasha Sadr Hagidhian, Dara Birnbaum, Klara Liden and Olafur Eliasson. The publication is rounded out by Daniel Birnbaum's essay on contemporary time-based art and Kaye Geipel's text exploring the history and architecture of the century-old industrial building that was completely gutted and custom designed to house the collection.

Yoko Ono: One Woman Show, 19601971 examines the beginnings of Onos extensive career, demonstrating her pioneering role in visual art, performance and music during the 1960s and early 1970s. The exhibition begins in New York in December 1960, where Ono initiated a performance series with La Monte Young in her Chambers Street loft. Over the course of the decade, Ono earned international recognition, staging Cut Piece in Tokyo and Kyoto in 1964, exhibiting at the Indica Gallery in London in 1966, and launching her global War is Over! campaign in 1969. Ono returned to New York in the early 1970s and organized an unsanctioned one woman show at The Museum of Modern Art. Over forty years after Onos unofficial MoMA debut, the Museum will present its first exhibition dedicated exclusively to the artists work. The publication evaluates the broader cultural context of Onos early work and features five sections reflecting her geographic locations during this period and the corresponding evolution of her artistic practice. Each chapter includes an introduction written by a guest scholar, artwork descriptions, new interviews with key figures from the time, and a selection of primary documents culled from newspapers, magazines and journals.

Die Publikation 'Political/Minimal' präsentiert Kunstwerke der letzten vierzig Jahre, die einem stark reduzierten, geometrischen Formenrepertoire folgen, sich jedoch im Kontrast zu ihrer äußerlichen Reduziertheit durch die ihnen impliziten Narrationen auszeichnen. Die dominierenden visuellen Merkmale dieser Arbeiten – häufig zwei- und dreidimensionale Formen wie Kreis, Pyramide, Kugel oder Würfel – dienen als Ausgangspunkt für das ausgedehnte Feld der Performance- und Konzeptkunst. Von ökologischen Beobachtungen zu Body Politics, von sozialen und ökonomischen Betrachtungen zu ethischen Fragen – die gezeigten Arbeiten sind in Erzählungen eingebunden, die sich aus dem Titel, den Materialien oder dem Produktionskontext ableiten. Die gegenwärtige Kunstproduktion widmet sich einerseits der Autonomie des Kunstwerks und andererseits den ideologischen und ethischen Werten politischer, humanistischer und gesellschaftlicher Aktivitäten. Die Publikation trägt der Formensprache des Minimalismus in der grafischen Gestaltung Rechnung und funktioniert selbst wie ein minimalistisches Objekt.
