    Howard Chandler Robbins Landon was een Amerikaanse musicoloog, journalist, historicus en radio-omroeper. Hij is vooral bekend om zijn werk bij het herontdekken van de enorme hoeveelheid verwaarloosde muziek van Haydn en het corrigeren van misvattingen over Mozart. Zijn onderzoek richtte zich op gedetailleerde muziekanalyse en historische context, waarmee hij aanzienlijk bijdroeg aan een hernieuwde waardering voor deze componisten.
