Georges Pichard begon zijn carrière in de reclame-illustratie voordat hij zich toelegde op het tekenonderwijs. Vanaf het midden van de jaren veertig werkte hij mee aan humoristische en satirische publicaties. Zijn kenmerkende compositorische stijl en beheersing van volume maakten hem uitermate geschikt voor erotische strips, zoals blijkt uit werken als Paulette en Caroline Choiera. Pichard bewerkte ook Homerus' Odyssee, wat zijn reputatie als belangrijk striptekenaar van zijn tijd verstevigde.
