Andrzej Wróblewski, einer der bedeutendsten Nachkriegsmaler Polens, starb 1957 im Alter von dreißig Jahren. René Daniëls (geboren 1950 in Eindhoven) musste 1987 aufgrund gesundheitlicher Probleme seine künstlerische Tätigkeit einstellen, während Luc Tuymans (geboren 1958 in Mortsel) weiterhin aktiv ist. Daniëls’ Bild der „amüsierten Muse“ symbolisiert die Überwältigung des Kunstwerks durch die Warenform. Rund dreißig Werke werden durch Kommentare aus Gesprächen von Ulrich Loock mit Joanna Kordjak, Dominic van den Boogerd und Luc Tuymans ergänzt.
