Besonders aufschlussreich – gerade für den nachbauwilligen Modellbauer – sind zahlreiche Perspektivzeichnungen, z. B. von Turm, Deckgeschütz, Ruderanordnung usw. Ergänzt werden diese aussagekräftigen Zeichnungen durch einen umfangreichen Bildteil sowie eine tabellarische Auflistung der technischen Daten der jeweiligen Bauvarianten. Der Schwerpunkt dieses Werkes liegt eindeutig auf der übersichtlichen, zeichnerischen Darstellung dieses U-Boot-Typs, auch seltener erwähnte Detailpunkte sind ausführlich dokumentiert.
