Thomas Risse is een wetenschapper op het gebied van internationale betrekkingen, gevestigd in Berlijn. Zijn werk verdiept zich in transnationale betrekkingen, buitenlands beleid en veiligheid. Hij bekleedt een leerstoel aan het Otto-Suhr Instituut voor Politieke Wetenschappen aan de Freie Universität Berlin.
