Robert Bloch

    5 april 1917 – 23 september 1994

    Robert Bloch was een productieve Amerikaanse schrijver, voornamelijk bekend om zijn bijdragen aan de genres misdaad, sciencefiction en horror. Als een van de jongste leden van de Lovecraft Circle werd hij aanzienlijk beïnvloed door zijn mentor, H.P. Lovecraft, die zijn literaire talent erkende en aanmoedigde. Bloch werd beroemd om zijn meesterlijke vertelkunst en zijn vermogen om verontrustende verhalen te creëren die resoneren bij het publiek. Zijn werken, variërend van korte verhalen in pulp-magazines tot romans en scenario's, blijven de moderne literatuur en film beïnvloeden.
